Really enjoyed the museum and learning more about the Indians in the area and the history. Highly recommend and is great for kids as so much is shown here that they are not taught in school anymore. Loved all the stories and information about Cochise and Geronimo.

Very interesting little museum that tells the western history of the region. The focus is the time period of the arrival of the Spanish in1540 to the present. Main interest is of the Apache Indians, military and early settlers. They continually expand their collection. Check the Toggery out across the street which is a museum and research center that is associated with this museum.Adults $2.00, coupe $3.00, families $5.00.

This sits just a half block north of Railroad Ave. It does not look like much, but once you walk in you realize what a gem it is. As you would expect it deals with the history of the Willcox area. There is an abundance of info on the local Native American settlers, particularly the Apaches and some details of the legendary Geronimo. There is as well, a more regional overview of the area. The artifacts were of great interest and there are numerous pages written to explain what you are viewing. If you are in Willcox with an hour to kill, this is the answer. It was two bucks for a great American history lesson!

This museum has some of the vast history of the Chiricahua Apache tribe and it chieftains Cochise and Geronimo. You can also see rock and mineral displays, and items from the Butterfield Overland Stage and the U.S.A. Cavalry of long ago. While there, look at the sides of the building, there are the remains of old advertizing from yesteryear, cool..While in Willcox, explore the historic district, more info can be found in write-up at seniorcitizenlocalweb and on tripadvisor, as well as the Cochise Country Visitor Center. The people in Willcox's historic district are friendly, helpful, and see to it that you and your's are treated to an interesting day with entertainment, good food, lots of western history, and tons of interesting shopping.
