I live just behind Errol Eatates and I play their golf course a few times each month. I was delightfully surprised to see what good condition it is kept in:). Their winter rates are great, and it is a fun, beautiful course to play. It is an older clubhouse, but the staff is always very nice. Sometimes the grill is not available for sandwiches, but the bar is open, so you may want to take a snack.

Not a fancy country club but they have a long stay rental at a reasonable price. The 3 nice 9 holes are quite interesting to play and the senior group that congregates are friendly. Rental homes need to be booked quite early but if you are not expecting fancy homes, you'll enjoy the winter months here. Our friend rented the place every year for several years.

I can only rate the golf course since I didn't stay in the villas or use the clubhouse/restaurant. Here are just a few thoughts about the course - Tee boxes, the markers are very hard to see, you have to spot the color of the logo embedded in a rock-market; most tees were crowned and finding a flat spot to tee off was a challenge. Fairways were in good shape even if the grass was a little long for my liking. The bunkers were awful, there is about half an inch of sand then it's just hard-pan underneath that, makes for a nice "bounce" into the back of your ball sending it flying across the green. The greens were slow, not sure if that was just because they couldn't cut them due to the amount of rain the previous few days, or if they leave them that way to handle the traffic. The general layout is good and there are nice elevation changes which are generally hard to find in Orlando. Overall, I would give this course a bogey. I will go back again within the year and see if they score better, but there are too many nice courses in and around Orlando to give it a third shot.

This is a great tract located in Apopka. This course used to be in terrible shape a few years ago. My group plays here about once a month now and have noticed a huge improvement especially to the greens. Kudos to the superintendent for a great job putting this course back in fine shape. While this is just a local course, it's always challenging and fun to play for a great price.

New owners purchased Errol Estates C.C. a couple of years ago and what a difference they have made. Fairways are beautifully groomed, great condition of greens with beautiful surroundings. Now only 18 holes of golf as they have turned 9 holes into a golf school but VERY nice! Country club has great food now but is still a little dated. Hoping the improvement in the golf will allow the owners to update the club. Food is very good but the atmosphere....well, it's definitely old school. So much potential though!

I am so glad all of these people reviewing this course have not played it recently, because if they had, you would not be able to get a tee time. Played the course twice this month, December, WOW is all I can say, best shape of any course in Central Florida, thes new management is definitely on the upswing with the improvements. Fairways and tee boxes were like greeens on most courses in the area. We often play OCN, Metrowest, Timicuan, Reunion, Harmony. We had not played Errol is over 3 years and wanted to give the new guys a chance, we were not disappointed, from the golf course to the food, it is AWESOME, so all of you, please stay away because we are enjoying the efficient pace of play

The Country Club had gone down hill, but it has new owners, new staff and a new chef. We ate in the restaurant: gourmet food, but by out-of-town Florida standards the prices were eye wateringly high!

A new dining experience opened to the public recently with the ownership change at Errol Estates Country Club. The premier of their fine dining resturant, Bon Appetit, using a Groupon offer was disappointing for small detail reasons. The small details are what makes a meal for two worth $100+, unfortunately. The "fine dining room" is a banquet room which has floor to ceiling windows that overlook a back utility stairwell leading up from an undecorated concrete slab devoid of furniture, planters, or anything else with visual appeal. There are a few unkept looking foliage beds with the golf course beyond. Doors to the clubhouse bar adjacent to this room were left open allowing the intrusion of cocktail fueled, loud conversation. There was no background music as a buffer. At 8 PM on a Friday we were the only patrons. The tables were dressed nicely with linens, but it had the feel of being the only people in a wedding reception overflow room with the worst view. The server was the biggest standout - friendly, informative and professional. He is exceptional and his fine dining service experience was evident. The quality and flavor of the food was excellent, but the presentation plummeted to unappetizing. Escargot in pastry was obliterated to a soggy mass by a very flavorful burgundy reduction sauce. The pastry was hard to even identify, as the dish looked like lumpy brown gravy on a white plate skewered with a piece of rosemary. A vichyssoise soup was unplalatable and sent back, but my husband's seafood soup was deicious. We chose steaks as entrees, and the meat was of high quality and cooked exactly as ordered. Delicious. There was no garnish whatsoever on either plate, though. Mine had a dry baked potato, the strip steak and a pile of asparagus. His filet featured a yellow gloppy topping which was unappetizing looking, although he said it was delicious.Dessert was a stellar chocolate cake with a dissappointing Cool-Whip garnish. Chemical tasting substitutes do not compliment good chocolate. With tip and the addition of 2 glasses of wine, the bill came to just over $100. Stellar service and high quality did not make up for the lack of ambience. Perkins does a good steak for half the price and roughly the same atmosphere. I won't be returning for Errol Estates' idea of "fine dining."

I arrived at Errol Estates to play golf with other golfters. My husband worked during the day and I thought that the pro shop would assist me in finding others to play golf with. Wrong! They were neither inviting or willing to assist me. I had to play by myself! The staff was unfriendly, and not personable. They appeared to hate their jobs. It was a disaster for me. We, also, rented a villa through the golf club. It was a dump, very dated with very few amenities ( no phone, no internet, one wineglass, one cooking pot....)Overall, this was a very disappointing experience and I would not recommend this place until they hire staff with some social skillsThe golf course was in poor condition but they are working at improving this. Maybe, 3-5 years for the course. The Tuesday and Thursday Morning Ladies were awesome! Thank You!

They have added some cool new features. The greens are no longer just green. They are also brown, yellow, and yello-green. The also include some new bald spots and cool little crannies for the balls to bounce around. Who doesn't love a 3 putt. The fairways have plenty of tall grass for your ball to get lost, even though you stuck it right in the middle of the fairway. The sand traps feature a new rock hard surface, and the tee boxes offer fun divots, and tall grass to give the game just a pinch more challenge. This place is so awesome the local teenage idiots even offered us some cool tire donut tracks in the fairways to play around. Now I'm not one to blame a golf course for my crappy score but honestly I really think I scored lower here when I was 12. Coincidentally it was much better taken care of back then. Now the people are very nice here, and honestly I feel bad that they don't have much support to get the place up and moving again. The girl working the clubhouse and the girl working the snack bar did a great job of making us feel welcome, and one gentleman even offered us a golf cart ride from the parking lot to the clubhouse. I wish we could move all of them to a better course so we could enjoy the pleasantness of the staff and the course. I have had many great memories playing this course years ago but honestly it's really not a whole bucket of impressiveness anymore.

The "new" name is now Errol Estate Golf & Country Club. What an improvement over the previous management. Sunday brunch was $24.95. They had everything I could want. Omelet Station, Eggs Benedict, White Chocolate French Toast, Bacon, Hash Browns, Belgian Waffles, and more...Carving Station (Spiral Ham & Beef), 6 different Salads, Seafood Frittata, Chicken MilaneseThe Seafood was Displayed on an Ice Carving (Shrimp, Oysters, and Crab Legs) Pastries and DessertsGood service. Great value.

Am not rating the golfing am rating the environment the surrounding area. This is a very well kept manicured area. The grounds are beautiful and the club area is very nice

A group met on a Friday evening and enjoyed the food and especially the entertainment. One of the singers was named Billy. I would definitely go back. Hopefully, the same group is there to entertain. The service was great.
