We go to several Mud Hen games a year. It is a miniature Comerica Park. You are closer to the field, smaller crowds, plenty of good dining in the area if you do not want to eat at the game. And you cannot beat the price of admission - 10 per person. Plenty of promotion nights.
I'm from Detroit, so Comerica Park is our home field. The Mudhen's park has a similar set up, but on a smaller scale. A very homer friendly ballpark, balls routinely leave the stadium and cross the street. There's an electricity in the air, the game is exciting, and the crowd is into it. The fans are enjoying the experience and with good reason. The Mudhens put on an exciting event for the fans, and the team is pretty competitive as well. The staff makes the place fun for the fans and the team makes it fun to enjoy the game. There's some good places to check out near the stadium before and after the game. There's a unique feel to a baseball game, to a baseball crowd, and the Mudhens do a great job of bottling that feeling and dispensing it every game day. This is a great place to see a game. The prices are cheap and the venue is exciting. Definitely worth going to have this experience.
It's baseball with a twist. The Mud Hens are always fun to watch, but the staff does a great job of keeping the fans involved before and during the game. So even if you are not a baseball fan, there is other entertainment to keep you happy. Great addition to downtown Toledo!!
Take me out to the ballgame again and againThere is lots of fun to be had at the home of Toledo's mudhens. You'll see Mascot Muddy and his pal Madonna making sure that everyone has a great time. Then there are other added attractions especially during theme nights when kids are invited to get into the action and a really terrific fireworks show. Must also mention the delicious food! Want a souvenier? The Hens shop has it all!! Take the entire family and cheer the hens. Who will get called up to the Detroit Tigers? Saw it happen once in the third inning!!!! Enjoy
Up to date facility. Family friendly a great Toledo crowd. Great food choices and a home town favorite. We are a Detroit Tiger farm team.
Excellent family fun here. No bad seats. Many food options. Big league fan experience at AAA baseball park. Muddy and Muddonna host the festivities. Special theme nights, fireworks, kids running bases, etc. Great merchandise for Mudhens fans and often for Walleye hockey too. Not necessarily a cheap event, but if you like baseball, it's so worth every penny to take in at least a few games a season.
I went to the baseball game for my grandsons birthday, because he loves baseball, and I think I ended up having more fun than him! The stadium is beautiful and the whole game was very exciting! The food was a little bit pricey but not more than I would expect at any other game. I can not wait until the next game I get to go to!
What downtown city has a stadium and a hockey rink - at at one point this past winter - a hockey rink in the stadium. A game is a must. What a great experience for all ages.
Great fun for families! The prices, from the tickets to the food and souvenirs, are very reasonable. The atmosphere is great and there are lots of fun things to do in the area. Very well kept facilities.
We love this place, and catching games in the summertime. I prefer weekends so that we can catch the fireworks, too. Can't beat the Muddy Shuttle offered by TARTA. Eat before the game to save yourself a little money, but splurge on at least one ballpark snack!
I don't like baseball. To me it's like watching paint dry. However, a visit to watch the Mud Hens at 5/3 Field is an event. Lots of fun things going on, plenty of folks to chat with (when the game gets slower than usual - hard to imagne), lots of good restaurants to visit with a block or 2 of the ballpark. Fireworks, If one can last the whole 9 innings. :) Fun time.
if you have a baseball fanatic in your family you can make arrangements for them to throw the first pitch. Nice wrk, for a fee of course.
This park is unique. We love to come here, there isn't a bad seat in the house. Brewed beers are great, can't review the food really. We are partial season ticket holders.
Truly ranked one of the BEST minor league stadiums in the country! There is not a bad seat in the house. Food is excellent, what a great atmosphere for Toledo.
A great chance to enjoy a major league style experience without the cost and hassle. Tickets are 9 dollars, and if you buy them early enough you can literally sit in the first row on the base line and chat up the bullpen coach during the game. Players are accessible and friendly and the concessions are plentiful and reasonably priced. Much cheaper than a game in Detroit or Cleveland, you can forego the planning and just park a block or so from the ballpark, buy a ticket and relax and enjoy a game. Fireworks are sometimes included as are other fun promos. No expensive parking, no mile long hikes with bums harassing you, no scalpers and a comfortable, relaxing summertime experience.
