When we first moved to town we found this gem. Tons of trails well marked, you can map out a walk of almost any length you wish. There are both dirt & paved trails which is nice with strollers. Some in the open/sun, but plenty in the cover of trees for those hot days. Beware it gets busy- we learned not worth taking our dogs on Saturdays too many people. I love the quiet weekdays! Nice playground right along one of paved trails- has two areas one for little kids one for older. So many nice areas for a picnic lunch!

When I first met my wife she was living in Ohio, near Wildwood. She had me go there with her on multiple occasions so we could explore this expansive place. It was already on of her favorite places to go, and it quickly became one of mine. The boardwalk path throughout the woods is awesome, a personal favorite. We took a lot of great photos in there over the years. Being avid hikers and outdoor explorers, we loved walking the trails and traversing the whole place. We live in Michigan now, and she still mentions how much she misses this particular park. I have to admit that I miss it too. It was local, free and fun. There are no such parks near us now and the ones that we can get to cost money to visit. My son had boy scouts meeting at Wildwood and the kids and parents could go together, which we did, and learn about trees and insects and all sorts of other things. If you like exploring, this park is a great place to visit. There's also some other things to visit, historical landmarks, etc. This is a great place to have a picnic or go hiking or to sit and meditate. You see people playing frisbie, jogging, biking and all sorts of things. It's just a great place to be outside and enjoy nature. I highly recommend visiting. Please follow all the rules of the park. It is also a nature preserve.

multiple picnic grounds, playground areas, wooded trails, walking paths, Manor house, gift shop, stables nature center.Built in 1938, the Wildwood Manor House was the home of the original owners, the Stranahans'. The house, still decorated in a Georgian colonial style, is now partially open to the public for free tours, while other buildings on the property are now used as nature centers, visitors centers, and offices.

We visited the first weekend in December and the programs were wonderful for the grandchildren! They got to make crafts that children in the early 20th century would have made. There were cookies and punch for everyone, and each child was given a gift of an old-fashioned toy!

We were passing through Toledo and decided to take a look at the Wildwood Preserve. Reached there around afternoon on Thursday, New Year's Day. Bad choice on all counts! The place was closed! And a sign displayedindicated that from January to March the Manor House is open only Sunday afternoons. The trails were of course open but it was cold and windy. Temperature -8 Celsius with with wind chill factor dropping it several degrees made it inhospitable terrain with no buildings to go in for respite or thawing. Despite this, and to their credit, there were a few brave souls walking and jogging.A wild life viewing room was open in the reception area. A squirrel and several bird feeders were in view but sadly no birds were in sight to raise our spirits. Very comfortably seated in the room was a middle-aged lady, with her feet on the ledge and her shoes on the floor. Obviously we were intruding into her personal space and pleasure because she made no efforts to conceal her displeasure by her gestures and the looks she gave our group. The redeeming feature of our stop over here was that we were rewarded by a lovely male cardinal who flitted about to greet us. That was certainly worth it and for us folks from the UK who have never seen this beautful bird. it was most definitely a treat!

...to get some exercise. Varied choice of paved walks or trails through the woods. We enjoyed our walk there and will be back regularly this spring and summer.

Went here years ago, recently visited again, nice wooded paths, many trail options. Nice respectful fellow walkers. Nice rest area too. Recommend for all ages, except strollers, bikes and toddlers. Good parking.

This park has great walking trails and beautiful areas to sit and enjoy nature. The creekthat runs through the park is especially nice..... depending on the time of year it can be a trickle or a nice flowing creek. And the Manor House is a great place to tour especially in December when they are decorated for the holidays.

This is my absolute 'go to' for a walk. At least once a week. Beautiful trails that give you access to different atmospheres. Flood plain, woods. A nice way to see the outdoors with the occasional view of the deer and always a pleasant smile from other passing by walkers or runners. Love this park

The fall colors are amazing this time of the year. This is the place to be to see them all in their glory! Beautifully laid out trails, the Wildwood Manor House is absolutely breathtaking with or without the fall colors. If you are looking to get out, go for a walk, enjoy a run, bike or just hang out in a quiet location and have a bbq in the park, this is an amazing and highly recommended place to go! If you haven't ever been to the Manor House they offer free tours and it's a part of history you will sure enjoy! The beauty of this home is absolutely amazing! This is a Don't Come to Toledo and Miss This opportunity!

This is one of my favorite places to go in the Toledo area. The trails are well kept and the views are beautiful! You must tour the Manor House during Christmas. They decorate every room and it's just a beautiful site. Don't miss Wildwood Preserve if you are in the Toledo, OH area!

I go here about at least once a week to either walk or run. Trails are kept up nicely and restroom facilities are always clean. Looking forward for construction on the bridge to finish here soon so I can add that side of the park back to my running route.
