The outside of this place is lovely. There are patio tables, it's clean and there is a very pretty rock water feature. Inside is disappointing. It's rows of pre bagged candy and nuts sitting on open shelves. It's also very expensive. The variety of both candy and nuts is limited and very expensive. There is a few stuffed animals and tourist trinkets. There is a very busy, clean,modern Subway store as well as a jerky and ice cream counter. The ice cream counter had 15 choices and only took cash. The cooler was well stocked with a really great selection

A veritable oasis in a desert of nothingness, when you find yourself on this very lonely stretch of road you just HAVE to stop here. The exterior looks like a castle and what's inside is, well, what you expect: lots and lots of bags of candy and nuts!The prices are reasonable and the goods are plenty. If you can't find something you like here, then you are the pickiest person on the planet. Great place to grab some road trip snacks. Check each bag carefully because the amount of nuts / candy inside varies with each bag and are priced according to weight (so one bag may be priced at $3 while the one underneath is $8).Low carb eaters and diabetics rejoice: they have an extensive section of sugar free candy on the next to the last row on the right, even sugar free gumballs! I grabbed some sugar free dark chocolate covered almonds and some sugar free gummi bears too. They have one of the best selection of sugar free candies I've ever seen.Special sodas and root beer line the shelves too, many with funny labels that would make great gag gifts for a birthday or hilarious holiday stocking stuffers. Of course, there are "normal" sodas in the coolers too.Don't like nuts or candy? There's a homemade jerky counter, ice cream counter and a full size Subway sandwich shop towards the back of the store. Clean restrooms. A must-stop for all road warriors.

Besides the wonderful goodies offered inside, they operate a gas station out front and if you are headed into, or visiting from, Death Valley, you should fill-up your tank here as the cost was over $1 less per gallon than at Stovepipe Wells Village and over $2 less per gallon less than at Furnace Creek. The gas pumps are on and operable even after the rest of the store is closed.

In little ole Beatty, NV., there exists one of the most unique candy stores you will ever find. All candies are made in Beatty and sold in bulk one pound bags. A Must Stop to enjoy.

stopped in for some ice cream. They make all their own ice cream, had about 15 to choose from. The pistachio, the andes mint and praline were all fantastic. It was tough to decide which to get. They also have rows of bagged candy that are a blast from the past. And some off sodas that have some fun names. This place is in the heart of Beatty in an area called Eddie World, has gas station, the candy and nut company, a subway, coffee shop. Everything you need for a stop over on your road trip.

Subway for lunch, rows and rows of candy and nuts for dessert. Then super ice cream in many flavors for a treat. And cases and cases of water to wash it down. Just plain fun.

One of our party just had to stop here to get candy cigarettes for the nostalgia. She bought several packs. Lots of treats here. A major plus of the area is the less expensive Nevada gas. We filled up our jeeps and then headed out to Rhyolite and Titus Canyon.

Surprised such a big candy store in "middle of nowhere." Think they have just about any candy one would want. Seems very popular as it's busy.

I have stopped at the Death Valley Nut & Candy company on every Death Valley trip. Great place to stock up last minute food/water for hiking/camping or grab some ice cream after a long day. Fuel is reasonably priced. Make sure to fill up here, fuel in national park is near $5/gallon. Beatty is an interesting little town to explore with some nice history.

This was a must-stop both north and south during my 3-year weekly commute between Carson City and Las Vegas. Top off the gas tank going north into the desert and make a pit stop on the way south. The restrooms are always clean and functional (more than can be said for the Rebel gas station and convenience store across the road!) They used to have a pretty good selection of pre-packaged sandwiches, but after the long-awaited and long-delayed Subway opened in one corner of the store, they stopped carrying them. Too much competition, I guess. The candy is good, especially the chocolate stuff, but pricey. The souvenirs are, well, just tacky. What would you expect from a place where the brothels outnumbered the restaurants (until just recently, when Denny's opened up.)

You gotta love Nevada! Where else can you find the aforementioned items in the same area?! Not that you'd necessarily enjoy all these things at the same time (Tee-hee). Obviously, the big draw here are the aisles of candy and nuts (the cathouses aren't on location, mind you). LOTS of belly-busting sugar galore. Personally, I like a little bit of this and that but the pre-packaged goodies are nice to have for road-tripping or if you have a caravan of people to share with. A definite highlight in the most unlikely place. Prices are reasonable and the selection is impressive.

So fun to see the variety of candy & snacks. They also have large variety of other items including Death Valley books & souvenirs. There's an ice cream parlor area & a Subway sandwich shop in the building. Oh yeah...and nice public restrooms!
