Great place to visit in the Fall when the corn maze and pumpkin patch are open. The produce is fresh and often unique. Visit the bakery area and pick up some fresh baked goodies while the kids take a ride on the cow train. Very friendly and helpful staff around the farm.
As noted previously, the Fall harvest and events (corn maze, pumpkin patch, etc) make this a great time to visit Lattin Farms. But this time, we were sampling the baked goodies at Lattin's Country Kitchen and Bakery. The cinnamon rolls are so much better than the gooey, artificially-sweetened stuff you find at airports and shopping malls.
Bob Lattin and his family have run this combined produce stand/family restaurant/fall attraction for many years. The produce stand is open (usually) late May to early October. What is available varies with the season. Most of the produce comes from fields that are next to the stand. It is a real farm-to-market operation. On any particular day you may find extended Lattin family members working the stand. The produce is organic, and may look a little less fancy than the polished stuff you see in a supermarket, but it is fresh and ripe (tomatoes, especially). It is expensive, though. In October there is a huge cornfield maze, and more pumpkins, of more different sizes and colors than you would believe.
great farm fresh foods, the kids got to look around and they had a wheelbarrow race
If you are in Fallon during the months of August through October you should stop by Lattin Farms. It is family owned and caters to families and schools. There is a nice produce stand that is open from around July through October. They sell lots of produce including the famous Hearts of Gold Cantaloupe as well as many other fruits and vegetables according to what is in season. The farm is organic. They also make breads and jellies in their Country Kitchen on site. Saturdays in October, there are many activities for kids, a large pumpkin patch with hayrides, a corn maze, craft vendors, and the kitchen is open for lunch and dinner. We love it here!
whole family had a great time. Love getting fresh veggies right off the farm. YUM
Very good place for kids to see goats ,get a pumpkin, nice gifts avaiable and staff i very nice
Lattin Farms is amazing. It's a family owned and operated farm, they have animals like goats and cow, and they grow their own produce. They also have an amazing bakery which has the best cinnamon rolls in nevada. Also they have a corn maze during the fall month, created by the renown maze artist Adrian Fisher. Lattin Farms is something anyone passing through Fallon or Reno should experince.
