highway 50-95 rock shop

We drove from Carson City, based on these reviews ...how sad that the shop is gone. Wish the reviews a had been more current and that they had reflected the shops demise

Wally Marks was my father-in-law and the previous owner of the Highway 50-95 Rock Shop. After his death his son Tom and I spent 6 months at at the shop. We met many wonderful people but also gained a whole new appreciation for the world of rocks and rock hounding. Fallon Nevada and all the people we met made a huge impact on our life and left footprints in our memories.Please note the year of visiting is not correct. 2007?

The store has about everything a rock hound could imagine or want. Everything from lapidary equipment, rough rock, slabs, tumbling rock, fossils, geodes galore, jewelry and other assorted lapidary supplies. When you first enter the store; you are treated to tools, reference materials, jewelry, gorgeous minerals, fossils, polished spheres, and quality rough rock. However, what is outback is special. If you have time to look, you can find all sorts of geodes, petrified wood and many excellent rock specimens. Most of the material is reasonably priced and comes from a variety of sources from around the globe.
