Sadly this was a bummer! Mother Nature took over and washed out the trail. We went a ways, but had to turn back and return to base. No loop. Once they get it cleared we will try again. No fault here, but nature.....

The Imas Creek Trail is plesant to walk. It affordes a look at the lake and mountains. I like the bench about half way through the trail, a good place to set and enjoy the view. I hope the Park Service repairs the bridge crossing that washed out late this summer.

Nice 35-40 minute hike near The Lodge at Stehekin. Saw blue grouse, chipmunks, and the view at the top is beautiful. We stayed at the lodge for 4 days so had time to do this hike from both ends. Good exercise. I read that part of the lower west end washed out with mudslides from bad rain storms around Sept. 5.

A fun, easy walk behind the Stehekin landing, fairly good views of the lake. We had free time one afternoon and took this trail. Nice trail, nothing particularly outstanding.

The Imus Creek Trail loop is a quick, easy hike (less than a mile). It is mostly in shade, but it did get very hot the farther from the lake we climbed. There is a bench at the top of the trail that would be lovely at twilight. You can start this hike either behind the Golden West Visitor Center or above the Purple Point campground.

Perfectly adequate and pleasant 3/4 mile walk in woods in back of the Stehekin Landing area on a side of the ridge in back of the creek. A nice 15 minutes. Its a good walk with kids or grandparents as it is not hard.

A park ranger suggested the Imus Creek Trail as a possibility for our layover at Stehekin. The trail starts with a climb that we were able to do in about 10 minutes. The trail continues past an overlook, with a breathtaking view of the lake and mountains. The whole trail took about an hour, but we took our time. Some parts of the trail were very narrow and other parts overgrown, but we were rewarded with three waterfalls, two bridges and a view like none other.
