How incredibly disappointing that a chapel isn't open on the weekends! From the outside, I can tell you how beautiful the chapel is. The gargoyles are especially interesting to see....very unusual to be seen on a church.I would have love to have gone inside on a beautiful Saturday when we were visiting. The hours don't really seem to be visitor-friendly unfortunately.

The Chapel of the Veterans is on the grounds of the Leavenworth V.A. Center. Built in 1893, this Gothic chapel features gargoyles and beautiful stained glass windows. If you like visiting churches, you will enjoy seeing this one.
