Recently we saw Moses' at Sight and Sound Theaters. It was totally amazing the performance that they put on. Stage scenery was awesome. They had live animals like horses camel, sheep, cows, and a parrot that flew over the audience to it's perch on stage. Animals come right down the aisle's as well as the actors and actress's. Moses' even parted the sea. Very large stages front and on both sides. We sat in the center in the last row on the lower level. I would recommend not sitting to close to the stage because with the left and right stages you have to turn more to see them. You can select what seat you want with online purchase. I highly recommend this show. Moses' ends mid April and Joseph is the next show. We stayed for 3 nights at The Steamboat Inn which we love. Did a lot of sightseeing and shopping in the Amish Lancaster PA area.
Went to see "Moses." I was blown away! This is a great place to go. I'm used to a small town theatre. There's to much to say that is great. Real life animals, amazing lights and sound. They make you feel like your a part of them. When a women who looks like an angel suddenly appears out of the sky....all I can say is...HOLLY MOSES!!! It's a must see!!
I have lived in Lancaster County all my life and never had a chance to go here, tonight, I was blown away. Simply incredible, words do not describe it. Lancaster is very lucky to have such a great treasure.
Everything about S&S is top notch. The theater is beautiful - the shows are outstanding. I've seen many shows here and am pleased each time. A true blessing.
We had never heard of the sight and sound theatre, and wouldn't have considered it if not for a friend's recommendation. So glad we did! More impressive than many broadway shows with a massive stage, talented cast (incl many trained animals) and good views despite the theatre size (huge!).
My wife and our family took me to see a live play at this theater on my birthday this year. The building itself is huge. We went to see the play called Moses . Yes from the bible. Totally awesome. They had live animals in the play, horses, sheep, goats, lamas, camels, parrots, and I'm site I missed a few. The play runs about two and half hours and a intermission. They have snack bars in the rotunda. Its better if you get your tickets online. Its easier to get into the theater and get seated. I like animals so if you have children all the better. They have different plays all year long. They have restaurants all around the area and more things to see. Lancaster is the next town over. It's a day I'all never forget.
Our family has seen many shows at Sight and Sound over the years and has always enjoyed them. We saw the most recent show Moses which was excellent. The show has state of the art and lighting effects along with the use of live animals such as horses. sheep, goats, donkeys and llamas. The cast many times bring the animals right down the aisles. The sets are amazing as well and the costumes are very unique and elaborate. The shows are about 2 hours and 15 minutes with a 15 minute intermission between the first and second half. We usually sit in sections 102 or 103 with an aisle seat. There are soveniurs and fiid available for purchase. The show is based on the story of Moses with some fictional elements added in as well. The shows are inspiring and very entertaining. Tickets are generally more expensive on Saturdays with ticket prices costing 60+ per adult and 20+ per child. Shows Monday through Friday are cheaper with ticket prices about $10-12 less per ticket. Numerous tour buses bring people to the shows. They do a new show each year and also have a great Christmas show. I would recommend seeing The Miracle of Christmas. The show they are having this year is Joseph. You can check out web site and look through the shows they have and buy tickets. This is truly a great performance that the whole family will enjoy. We have tickets to see Joseph in section 102 within 3 rows of the stage and are looking forward to seeing it in April 2015.
Sight & Sound is 100 times Better than broadway! The shows are incredible, beautifully, professionally done. Fun, creative and it's a totally different experience than any other show. We've seen the Noah show and Genesis and both were excellent.Lancaster/Strasburg area is a family favorite vacation spot and I highly recommend anyone going to this area to catch a Sight and Sound show. The cast is wonderful, singing, musical score, sets, everything is really a cut above anything else I've seen.
I went with my teenage daughter to watch Moses and the show was spectacular and I highly recommend to others! It is entertaining and biblical. Singing, acting, costumes, props are all amazing and very well done!
I have been to see Daniel, Behold the Lamb, Noah and Moses each show was spectacular! The plays are amazing! Live animals, great acting, dancing, lighting, sound effects...everything is incredible! Both my toddler and tween enjoyed the last show! I will be back again for sure!
What an amazing theater. From the design of it to the friendliest of staff to the quality of the performance is all top notch. Worth the trip. Just saw moses and it was once again awesome. Some people have complained that its not all biblical. However they state that prior to the show and the story itself is not changed.
Just got back from seeing Moses, this is an experience not to be missed. If the theater is not enough for you then the plays will put you over the top.The theater is the stage as people move on & off the stage as well as the animals which are mostly live...This is a attraction for both adults & children..If you go for the first time be sure to get a aisle seat!!!!!!Don't be amazed when you turn around to see a horse, donkey or camel standing next to you!!!!!!!TRULY AMAZING TO SAY THE LEAST.This theater brings the Bible to life....
When I went to the theatre, I saw the production Noah. I had seats in the middle of the theatre near the centre aisle and I had a perfect view of the stage and the side. The production was great and included live animals coming down the aisles and running on the stage. The cast was incredible and did an amazing job! During the show the sides of the theatre opened up and became Noah's Ark! It was a great show that proved to be very entertaining. If I return to Pennsylvania I would go again.
Broadway type musical productions of the Bible - complete with fantastic scenery, livestock, and action! We saw a production telling the story of Moses, including the parting of the Red Sea and the giving of the Ten Commandments -- both done using outstanding movable sets on stage! The personification of Moses, his mother and siblings, Pharaoh and his wife and son -- including water scenes on the Nile River -- were all outstanding. A cast of probably 25 put on this particular two act play, in addition to the live sheep, camels, and horses required for the story to be presented in completeness. This is one of two Sight and Sound Theaters, the other being in Branson, MO.
Very Exellant live theatre, good christian message, very uplifting, well worth the trip from Canada to view it . they also have great souvenirs Etc.
