The people in the Historical Society, the clerk's offive and the recorder's office all went out of their way to help me do research on family - calling people for me to see, etc.

I have been to many of the events hosted by the Historical Society and they have all been really fun. The people who participate in the Society have always been very knowledgeable and personable. While the collections at the museum stay mostly the same, it is very fun to see what those students from Northwest Missouri State are doing in the museum.The volunteers are also very helpful and fun to talk to. Margaret, the archivist downstairs, is one of the sweetest people in Maryville. If you find yourself able to go to one of the events, please do!

March 10 1 pm to 4 pm is Dessert Day with a feature on chocolate desserts. Bring something to sample or simply come to sample. All free will donations go to maintain the Nodaway County Historical Society Museum.
