I pass by here multiple times a year on my motorcycle. I have been here times when you could see 50+ miles, and times when it was so foggy you couldn't see 50 feet in front of you.No matter how many times you've stopped before, you are almost compelled to pull over for a few minutes and take in the view!

Great scenery, convenient picnic area nearby. If you are observing as a fog rolls thru it makes for a very unique viewing experience.

Its simply a pull off if you are looking to glance over the edge. There is the posted story, of lovers, well. . . you can imagine or read for yourself. The view over the valley is truly beautiful.

Lover's leap is one of the most beautiful attractions you would ever want to see. You can look over many miles of farm land and mountains, it's all breath taking and it is something you might read about out of a story book. Last time we was here we say a black bear about 200 yards up the parkway.

Very pretty views, just a quick stop off while driving when we saw the overlook. Worth a stop. I con't make it to 50 characters for this review so I'm typing this sentence.

The view is incredible but it does not allow for many cars to stop at once. You can see forever it seems on a clear day and in the fall the leaves are gorgeous. Great photo op.

Great overlook with a fantastic view of the fall colors. Parking is limited but worth it if you can find a spot.

WOW is about all I can say, it is just never ending to look out over the valley below, just amazing, and we saw a bear not too far from this place coming down the mountain

Lovers Leap Scenic Overlook is a small area on Highway 58 where you can stop and take photos from a great vantage point looking out over a beautiful southern Virginia valley. There are actually two places right next to each at which you can stop. One has an unobstructed view of the valley and is the better place to stop. The other has a view obstructed by a thin line of trees but there is also a steep, craggy trailhead here just behind a heavily graffitied boulder. This area is at elevation so foliage will green up later in the spring than at lower elevations (it was April when we went and the leaves weren't out yet though they were in the valleys).
