This is a neat collection of Taxidermy and history. Its a nice way to spend some free time while you are in town. Kid friendly and fun. Don't forget to sign the guestbook. They have some nice trinkets and unique gift ideas for those folks that are hard to buy for. I highly recommend stopping in for a look see. Your kids will really enjoy it too!

We got to town early, so just went to spend some time, but found a special treasure. The collection of native animals was most impressive as were the historical wax figures, but it was the personal guide who described everything clearly, precisely and with a personal touch not to be found in big formal museums. She spend more than an hour with just us giving background and connections for all the sections. But it was her personal connections that were so special. We learned so much. What a serendipitous find.

A great place to see. We learned alot about all the wild animals and the whole area. The staff is so great and very lay back and informative.

Thanks for keeping things like this open to the public. It is really great to learn about a different culture and their history, and in the meantime, a little of our own history.

We mourn the death of "Trapper" Jake Korell this Spring just short of his 98th birthday. He was out in his beloved Wyoming as he had done for most of his life, There wil be a get together on April 19, 2014 for family, friends and history buffs to remember Jake. No admission charge and donations accepted. The Heritage Center is Wyoming history with emphasis on taxidermy which has opened an addition with sculptures , dioramas and more exhibits. Mr. Lew Diehl is the manager and can be reached at 1-307-856-0706. Will take you back to a different part of our history. We visited in June of 2010 before the addition was built and plan to go back next year. .

I visited this place while on a Native American tour and was very impressed with staff. I asked one question which I thought was pretty obscure and didn't really expect an answer to, but the lady instantly came back with more information than I had asked for and she was very interesting. Great conversation for anyone interested in Native American history.
