Facility is very nice. We had a B-B-Q there and ate inside the facility. Kids had a ball swimming while adults socialized. Lots of other activities to participate in as well. Highly recommend...
It is a great place to unwind. It does however have weird hours. very nice modern facility with a nice view of the surrounding area.
Large clean pool. It's even warm enough to take the grandbaby who is only 6 months old. Plenty of chairs available. Affordable fun on a Sunday afternoon. Very clean changing rooms. Helpful and friendly staff.
This was a very pleasant surprise to find here, possibly the nicest thing about the town. Jared in the front office and Marsha the lifeguard are both super helpful and friendly, made me feel welcome from the outset. The pool, which is the perfect temperature, is a bit odd shaped but has 3 lap lanes, a whirlpool, some jets and a water slide as well as a kiddie section. The only thing I wish they had is a swimsuit spinner.
Local rumor is that this small town spent $6 million dollars on this pool, and is now in debt trying to make the loan payments. Well regardless of the cost, it really is an outstanding facility located in a very nice open space park. The pool is huge, suitable for kids of all ages and swimmers of all abilities. And it's indoors, providing important year-round physical activity. The locker rooms are clean (bring your own lock), but the showers sometimes have all of the knobs removed. My main complaint about the pool is the noise. The construction design and materials seem to have been selected for the purpose of echoing and amplifying noise. Even with only a few kids in the pool, the noise is unbearable. Also on the property is a paved exercise trail, garden of native plant species, first-rate horseshoe pits, softball field, shade trees, picnic gazebo, and the last remaining section of the historically important railroad to Yankee and Sugarite. Adjacent to the park is a school playground with modern equipment, the Raton train depot, the Old Pass Art Gallery, and the First Street Historic District.
We liked this pool! A big wading pool for the little kids, a diving board, a climbing wall dropping into a 12 foot pool, a spa sized whirl pool for the lazy and...a tremendous water slide. Our kids liked it because there was a water slide and diving board. "It was awesome!" say our five and eight-year olds.
