Rumney attracts climbers from around the globe. There are tons of routes set up for unlimited climbs. The Rumney Climbing Guide is a must. Most routes are graded pretty accurately too. Be prepared to have major parking issues on weekends. Come at the crack of dawn, wait till later in the afternoon or just come mid-week. Popular climbs can have a queue. There are plenty of routes you can have to yourself if you are willing to seek them out. You can also find some climbing celebs at times on the 5:14's and up. Another note to be aware of, although the pro isalready set in place, you will want to check out the security of the pro esp. at the top. Some routes that get used less often may have compromised hardware.
If you like sport climbing, Rumney is a must! Good routes for every level. It can be very crowded on the weekends as it is the premier sport climbing spot in the area – can be a little chaotic with lots of big groups, kids, dogs and waits for some of the classic, popular routes. It's really nice on the weekdays. It's a few dollars to park, so have a little cash ready. Nice swimming holes in the area too. You have to experience Rumney at least once! Don't miss out.

If you are a sport climber Rumney is not to be missed. There are hundreds of bolted rock climbing routes for great protection at levels from into beginner to advanced expert.
