Teton Vu Drive-In is an awesome way to catch dinner and two movies with the family. We can get our family of four (two adults, two children) in to view two new release movies for around $15. That is a steal! You have to get there pretty early if you want prime parking. Our young boys like to run around in the area in front of the theater screen. Usually there are a lot of kids playing around before it gets dark--which is great. Before the first movie starts we grab some food off the Tuton Vu menu. They have very reasonable prices and some tasty menu items (burgers, fries, shakes, etc.) Our kids always fall asleep for the second movie, so family night becomes date night for the second feature. Sound and seating can be a problem, but if you come prepared with proper sound systems and comfortable seating than in won't be a big issue. We bring enough chairs, blankets, pillows, etc., to ensure things are cozy. Sound is never the quality of a standard movie theater, but we get by on our van speakers. We have been a number of times this past summer and always have a great experience. If you are looking for a fun family movie night, give Tuton Vu Drive-In a try. Come prepared and you will love it. It is one of the best attractions around Rexburg.
me and my wife went to the Teton Vu Drive in April or May and we had a great time. We went to watch the movies Spider Man 2 and Godzilla. It was awesome being their together. We were in just the right location, from where we were parked we had an excellent view of the screen. As well, we found that if our car batteries ran out they had cables to charge it up. We didn't get any food and the prices there appeared to be reasonably priced. We brought our own food and drink. If we are able to go back we would go back and watch other movies there again. Also, it gets really dark there so if you need to use the bathroom be careful.
After visiting Yellowstone and heading back to Rexburg, where we were spending the night, we heard about this little drive-in theater. Just a few minutes outside the main drag, we paid less than $7 to get into a double-feature which showed two movies with the first beginning at 9:50pm: a kid's movie (How to Train Your Dragon 2) and a teen/adult film (Maleficent). The latter film did not start until almost midnight, but it was worth it given the atmosphere and fact that there is really nothing else we could find to do on a Friday night in Rexburg. The sky is very dark here and the audience members were all very respectful (no kids running around or talking/screaming by anyone). Food can be purchased here and is reasonably priced. Overall, as travelers coming from a state that has very few drive-in theaters, it was a great treat to not only experience a drive-in, but to go to one that is affordable and well-managed.
