Rexburg Rapids is almost always crowded and is definitely overpriced. You'd be better served, especially if you have little kids to take them to the free splash park in Porter Park on 2nd West in Rexburg. Once was more than enough for me. I have no desire to go back.Plus, this place doesn't even have a legitimate pool with it, just a lazy river and a few other smaller water play places.

My kids finally convinced me to try out Rexburg Rapids toward the end of summer. It was a DELIGHTFUL experience. The staff maintained the facility well, there were plenty of places to sit and watch. It is a simple water park, but it was a great afternoon! We will definitely go more this coming summer!

It was usually very crowded when we would go, and sometimes hard to find some chairs/table to sit. I love that they let you pack in your own food and drinks. They also have a snack bar serving pizza that my kids love. Also the sno cones. They allow life jackets for the less experienced swimmers, and they have swim diapers and liners for sale if you forget yours at home for the toddlers. Plenty of lifegaurds rotating around, so I always felt my kids were safe.

I took my son and a couple of his friends here to spend the day. We got here just before it opened and bought our tickets to get in. We added the unlimited water slide on to the $5 admission price for another $1.50. They have two large slides, one that is open and goes a little slower and an enclosed one that is faster and really propels you into the water at the end. They have a large pool with a climbing wall, a kiddie play area with the large bucket that dumps every so often (even the teenagers enjoy this) and the lazy river which also has a bear and a moose that shot water at you as you float past. We were here from 12:30 (when it opened) until 5:15pm (closes for afternoon session at 5:30). The busiest part of the day was from 2-4 but there were always enough tubes to float the lazy river. I like that the staff (lifeguards) are VERY attentive to the water areas. You can tell they have had a lot of training and take their job seriously. They rotate through the various stations and this keeps them on their toes. It was an overcast day and even rained a little while we here here but stayed open. If they close due to inclement weather (lightning especially) it says they do not give refunds.I love that they have picnic tables with umbrellas so there is plenty of shade and chairs to rest in. I also really appreciate that they let you take your own coolers (no glass items) in the the facility. The change area was very clean when we visited. Wish we had a facility like this in Idaho Falls, until then we'll head to Rexburg.

Rexburg Rapids:The good: It is a well maintained, clean water park, not much else like it around Rexburg. My young children LOVE it. The bad: pretty pricey for limited attractions: two water slides, one lazy river, a good-sized kids zone, and medium sized pool. It really isn't much. I'd like to see them add a few additional swimming areas, slides, etc. Then I would really feel like I was getting my money's worth. One other thing...the lifeguard workers are VERY strict. If your child jogs--even if they are far away from the pool area--the lifeguards will BLOW THOSE WHISTLES! I have heard others complain that the staff will ask repeatedly about whether your kid's life jacket is Coast Guard approved. And don't even think about exiting the lazy river without using the steps/railing. And no doubling up on tubes! Safety first, of course. But it does seem a bit excessive...All in all, it makes for an okay water day for me and an awesome one for the kids. We usually only go once a summer (maybe twice if a deal is going).

We came here last year, traveled 2 hours to get there and the kids Loved it! We just went there again this summer. We left after only 3 hours. Basically there were 200 plus people and only 9 tubes total provided for everybody. I counted them many times. My kids never got to tube because every time someone would set one down, a mob of people would dive and grab it. I overheard many guests complaining to the staff, asking why there were so few tubes. I even asked myself. No one seemed to know why they were only allowing a few guests to enjoy the lazy river on tubes, but I did overhear one staff member tell a guest it was policy to only have minimal. If this is true, this place needs to close. Left disappointed and won't be back if this is as new policy.

So me and my wife went to this water park during the 4th of July celebration of 2013. It was great. We had a good time for an hour or two visit. It was small and mainly directed to young children, but there are two slides which are cool. One slide is long and slow while the other is short and fast. The one thing I liked the most about this location is that there is not some chemical in the water that can irritate the eye. So when you are swimming don't have to worry having red eyes because of the chlorine. So it is kid friendly and family friendly. There is a lot of people that go there during summer time especially during 4th of July.

This place is overpriced and overcrowded. The slides are lame and the lazy river is about the only thing that is fun. Save your money.
