This place is a great adventure ! Been there twice with the family and it being under 10 miles away from home makes it all the better ! Good prices for about 3 hours of adventure climbing , obstacles , zip lines, Tarzan swings and a small store - it's well worth it! I enjoyed the workout and went with the morning groups. The afternoons can get a bit hot in the summer months. The staff are friendly and great instructors in teaching safety Nia

I've been wanting to do this for over a year and was given an gift certificate which I finally used today. IT WAS AWESOME! The obstacles were challenging and just a little scary but what a thrill! Can't wait to do it again!

Been wanting to do this for a couple years. Finally got 3 girlfriends together and WE DID IT yesterday. Took us 3 hours! We had a blast! So much fun! We would do it again in a heart beat. We felt very proud of ourselves cause we are all 60 or over but in very good shape! And we did all the EXTREME challenges! I would highly recommend wearing some type of thin glove...my hands got sore near end from holding ropes, climbing ropes, etc. Best fun I've had in a long time! Just do it...you won't regret!

My daughter wanted to go here for her 11th birthday gift so my husband and I took her. It was only about 25 minutes from our house so that was nice. We LOVED it.We made reservations online, which I would recommend. I would think if you just try to show up there is a good chance they could be sold out or you might have to wait around for a later opening as they are timed start groups. You were greeted promptly when you got there and from that moment on your were explained what to do and how to stay safe. When you are somewhere new, especially something a little different and crazy like this, it is nice that you are explained things and that there are plenty of qualified workers around to ask anything at any time. If you are about to climb up a tree and zip down a line from it you don't want to be worried you are doing something incorrectly. After 30 minutes of training you were let loose on the course. It was nicely challenging. There were 5 stations to follow and they seemed to get progressively higher and a little tougher. All and All we could complete everything and the ziplines were amazing. I do not like heights, but you are concentrating so hard on the courses you do not even notice you are up high until you are zooming back down on your zip line. This was a great workout and I was nicely sore the next day too - Just enough to know what muscles I worked. I will say that you need to be in good shape (not body size wise, but ability wise) as some of the obstacles require strength, balance and a little endurance. There were about 13 people in our training group to start so there was a lot of down time in those first 30 minutes. It would have been nicer with a smaller group. But once on the course you are going at your own pace so that doesn't matter. Lastly, the minimum age is 10, but if you are bringing a younger person be sure they are adventurous. Our daughter loved it, but a boy around the same age in front of us whimpered and cried several times. He pushed through and made it till the end, but he probably could have waited another year or two to do it.All and All I highly recommend. And, if you can go on a weekday as we did it is a little less crowded then weekends.

My buddy and I decided to check this out when we had nothing else to do. I am so glad we came and went ape! It was a ton of fun and never got boring. The instructors were awesome, helpful, and very friendly. The paths are challenging, especially since I decided to take the extreme path every time I had the option. The zip lines over the pond were such an adrenaline rush and the view was always beautiful. I am definitely trying to come back before summer ends and with more people this time. Recommend this 100% to anybody! You will not regret it.My experience in visual form!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WLPGMrUtw3c

I'm fat, middle aged and wracked with tendonitis. My 10 year old son has little upper body strength. We had been thinking about doing this for a long time but finally got there yesterday, excited and apprehensive The training session was excellent--at first I was worried our instructor was going too fast, but he revisited everything in sort of the natural order your questions would arise in, and everyone had to demonstrate their competence before setting out. The Tarzan swing proved our most difficult obstacle, as my son couldn't climb up through the netting to the platform, and I almost couldn't--Zach the instructor was there with a special pulley and extricated my son onto the platform. Then, when we reached the first zip line, my son got cold feet. Zach knew just what to say to him to help him relax (sit down into your harness like it's a chair)--and he loved it and from then on we were okay and enjoyed ourselves very much--it was just as much adventure as we could handle. During the course, there are times where you have a choice of taking one path or another. We were trying to avoid the more difficult ways--at one point at Station 5 we made a mistake and headed the wrong way trying to avoid a difficult obstacle--another group flagged someone on the ground to redirect us. That was the only confusing spot in the course. (and we had no choice but to go through a passage marked "difficult"--it was either that or "extreme"--but it wasn't bad after all lol). I was pleased with myself for landing forwards and on my feet after each zip line--apparently the trick to this is to "run" while you are in the air, a la Road Runner cartoons--but my son who landed on his bottom each time informed me it did not hurt, you just get mulch in uncomfortable places. Climbing all the rope ladders was somewhat strenuous but doable. The safety mechanism was reassuring but it sort of pushes you down and you have to fight against it to climb. We felt a sense of achievement at the end, and would both like to do it again!

This was a great adventure for the entire family. Our whole family ages 10yrs thru 66yrs had a blast. The Go Ape staff were professional and fun! They made the experience very enjoyable from the training time thru the courses. Dave, our instructor, was very encouraging to our youngest member who is afraid of heights. The different obstacles make the Go Ape experience much more entertaining then a regular zip line...and the zip lines at this Go Ape take you over water and the views are wonderful. This is an experience I would do again and would totally recommend to friends.

This was by far the most exhilarating adventure I've had. From the very first "Tarzan" swing my heart was pounding and hasn't stopped yet. We happened to have a Monday off together and were looking for something to do. I didn't want just another day at the beach and I certainly didn't get one! Our instructor Doug was great and patient. After the 20 to 30 minutes of instructions and a little trial run we were off to the races. Being afraid of heights, I didn't think I would make it past the first obstacle course but I did, and when it was time for the first zip line I began to ask myself what in the world I was thinking when I decided to take on such an adventure. But each obstacle that I climbed was more and more exciting!! Now that I'm back on the ground I'm looking forward to doing it again really soon!!! We are getting a group together to go back! He's Tarzan - I'm Jane!!!!!!

My mother and I thoroughly enjoyed the tree-top course and ziplines. I had never done anything like this, and I can't wait to do it again. Our total time was about 30-40 minutes of instruction, and 2 hours out on the course. Initially the safety instructions seemed a little overwelming, but they have you practice clipping in and out of the various safety wires and cables while you are still on the ground. After a little practice area (5 feet off the ground), you can move at your own pace through the courses 4 additional areas.I enjoy thrill rides and am fairly athletic. I enjoyed the challenge that the variety of crossings and obstacles. At various points there are options to choose less demanding crossings. My mother (68) was able to stick with the moderate crossings, as I tried to tackle the extreme. It was tree-mendous fun.At the end of each section were zip lines that criss-crossed the lake. The park itself was very scenic, and you cannot beat the view 40 feet up in the trees, or soaring across the lake.$55 for the course seems like a good deal. The staff were very friendly and enthusiastic. My son is looking forward to going when he turns 10. Can't wait to go back!

My sister and I wanted to do some ziplines together and have a fun day out doing something adventurous. This was definitely an adventure and we had a blast. Although we were a little nervous at first, the freedom of going at our own pace turned out to be a great way for us to have fun and be challenged. I felt totally safe in the course and thought it was a good size, especially for the beginner. I would recommend and definitely do again!

I cannot gush enough about the Go Ape experience. This course gets you up into the trees for a challenging obstacle course with exhilarating zip lines over the water. Some of the zip lines are over 650' in length. The obstacles are challenging enough to scare you just a little (even though you know you are securely fastened at all times), but not too challenging that our 11-year couldn't do them. The guides are excellent, and provided great instructions and safety guidelines before anyone was allowed on the course. The larger your group, the longer it will take you to complete the course. I would recommend that your group not be larger than 4 people, unless you don't mind waiting for your group to progress on through the course. Great family experience, and a great way to build confidence with kids. This review is specific to the Delaware location - I have not visited any of the other locations. Wear clothes and shoes that can get dirty!

Jesse was our guide today; he and the rest of the staff were welcoming and encouraging throughout the entire experience. The course itself was challenging and fun. All around great experience; can't wait to go again!

Our teenage daughter LOVES adventure; so for a gift, we went as a family to Go Ape at Lums Pond and had a blast! The company does a great job of preparing your gradually for what lies ahead. With children ages 14, 12 and 11, we found the course to be do-able but plenty challenging. There are several points where you can select a more difficult route. Members of our party did take that option and found these sections to be hard, a little more time-consuming and also super rewarding. Everyone agreed that the best part of the course are the ziplines. What is there not to LOVE as you shoot through the trees and over expanses of water? Two of us are historically not fans of heights, but we were so busy making sure that we were attached to the platform or clipping onto the wire correctly that we really didn't have time to dwell on our fear. Be aware that the staff does not hover and, in fact, leaves you on your own to manage yourself and the minors in your party. Also the experience took 3-3.5 hours, not the 1.5 hours we were expecting. So be sure to leave plenty of time to soak in the experience. It's most excellent!

We enjoyed our April visit. Though 15 people were in our time slot, it moved along nicely. We've previously done the Rockville,MD location. This is just as good - maybe even more challenging. Go. You'll like it.
