this is a beautiful / safe park to bring the kids.My grandkids love it hereseveral age different play ground areaslake with benches and walkways and a water park area for summeronly four stars because its a little hard to find
Great park that has about everything. You might want to come here with your baseball, soccer or lacrosse team for some tournament, and it is a nice play for that. There is also several nice walking or running paths. And for those with young families, there is a great playground and waterpark.
This park is well kept and very friendly for all ages. There are different trails to accommodate all levels. There is a concrete path around the lake and then a boardwalk through the woods that ends at the Wolf River. There was a trail to bike down as well. There are other activities like the water park for the kids and a few soccer fields. Also located nearby are bathrooms. Lastly, there is a playground for the kids to play on and this is all convenient to nearby parking. I went out Geocaching while it was sprinkling and it made for a great adventure. One last note is that the park hours are strictly enforced. Cheers and enjoy!
My young children loved the spray park. Also a nice playground with tarps for shade. I would bring extra chairs to sit and watch children because it is pretty crouded and not enough picnic tables.
This is an excellent nature trail through the woods to the Wolf River. All of the family will enjoy it.
Amazing park with tons to do. The playground is one of the best in the mid-south they have a boardwalk trail that goes all the way to the wolf river. There is plenty of geocaches in this park also. Great place for great times!
I dislike nothing. There are ample walking paths, including a great raised platform nature walk back to the Wolf River. Plenty of places to toss in a line if you like to fish. Athletic fields are almost always in use, but when they're not try running some shuttles on the turf fields. So very nice. Lots of great spots to picnic and a huge area for the kiddos to play. Bring your dogs (as long as you'll pick up their poo) and let them play as well. Wait. Did I mention the spray park? They have a spray park when it's warm out. One of the best public parks in the area. Worth a visit.
An extremely impressive public park. Every city thinking of building a public park should visit and take detailed notes.
Right here, on the northern edge of Collierville, we have a wilderness area chock full of deer, beaver, rabbits, raccoons, coyotes, bobcats, numerous bird species, reptiles and amphibians. Here at W.C. Johnson Park, you can go from baseball and soccer fields to Cypress and Tupelo wetlands in a short walk.
The boardwalk to the Wolf River is one of my favorite places in the world! It is beautiful in any season. It meanders through time and I am always wondering about the first explorers in the area back int the 1500's and the fact that it looks to me just like it did to them so long ago. We often see deer and other woodland creatures.. The walk around the lake is fun to watch because of all the ducks and geese congregated there. It is well marked for wildlife and plant species.
Really nice park with a cool free waterpark to take the kids to. Nice lake to walk around, feed the ducks & or fish in. Nice long nature trail to enjoy. Small but nice picknic area for family funn.
There is a variety of scenery on the jogging path; lakes, woods, a raised boardwalk with views of the Wolf River. My dog liked this park. Actually, my dog loves all walks that don't lead to the vets office.
Nice trails - lake and board walk into wildlife reserve. Lots of families can be found here when the weather is nice. Sprinkle park for smaller children during the summer, lake for fishing or watching the ducks and geese.
This town park has a giant playground kids, lake for fishing, nature trail to the river with a boardwalk, pavilions for picnics, 1st class artificial athletic fields, baseball fields, plenty of open space and it's maintained and clean!!!
Great park with baseball and soccer fields, playground area, walking trails, and lake you can fish in. Two of the scooer fileds haave astro turf. There is also a 3/4 mile boardwalk nature trail through the woods back to the Wolf River.
