This was a big place,. There were other people there too with their dogs even when the weather wasn't great. We had fun!

Great spot to let your dog run loose. The other pet owners are sociable and sometimes it feels like they're paying more attention to socializing than to keeping track of their dog(s). I have actually seen inattentive owners not clean up after their dog, and not supervise well enough - thinking their dog is great with other dogs - when their dog is obviously stressing out other dogs. You gotta know your dog and know what they can tolerate! On the other hand, there are times when the park is quieter and has fewer dogs and things go smoother.

The Kennebunk Dog Park was so great that we stopped by twice on Sunday while vacationing in Wells. Tommy (our pittmix) loved that there were tons of tennis balls, and a hose to fill up the kiddy pool.https://c1.tacdn.com/img2/x.gif

Space and soft ground and water bowls for dogs. Benches and shade and easy parking for people. Every 5 minutes (Saturday) a different dog came. You could choose your next breed in 1 afternoon! Pleasant people too!

The dog park in town is safe, fenced and well kept, and is a great opportunity for a dog to socialize while its owner does the same... but why do so many dog parks have to be built on the grounds of the town dump? (The park abuts the local landfill.) Don't the Town Fathers and their friends on the Chamber of Commerce realize what a marketing opportunity a truly "dog friendly" destination can be? Still, there are shade trees, a gazebo, and plenty of plastic bags for picking up and disposing of dog droppings. Kudos to Kennebunk for having such a facility at all!

Everyone is so nice and understanding when you have a new puppy. I think this is a great place for people to bring their dog and have a great time.

The park itself is very well-kept with water bowls for dogs available. I found that the pet owners for the most part were re-spectful of the rules but in several cases, several were indif-ferent to their pet's behavior. They allowed their dogs to jump on people and other dogs with a half-hearted command to stop or ignored them completely.

Convenient between town and beach, this dog park is well-fenced, treed, and offers benches for the dog owners. There certainly are a lot of dogs! Our dog is a miniature poodle and it was a bit overwhelming for her.

This is a lovely volunteer-administered dog park. It has a large area for all dogs and a separate small area for small and/or timid dogs. Thanks to the contributions of several landscapers, both sections of the park are covered with wood chips that are replenished as often as possible. There's a gazebo for both people and dogs, doggie bags, and water in the summer. There are also plastic kiddie pools for the dogs in the summer. The parking lot is paved, thanks to the Town of Kennebunk. The park is 'affiliated' with the Animal Welfare Society. Out-of-towners repeatedly tell us that this is the best dog park they've ever seen. It's clean, welcoming, and a great place for dogs and people. Rules are posted (and reasonable). Donations are always welcome as the park is supported entirely by contributions.

it has shady areas places to sit plenty of room to run down side you have to bring your own water. Parking is ok and it is in a nice neighboorhood.

This is a nice, fenced-in dog park next to the Kennebunk recycling center. The surface is natural with wood chips. Some trees on the right and a gazebo for people in the center. A smaller fenced in area is provided for small dogs only. There's also a double-gated entry for safety. Some poop clean-up bags are provided if you've forgotten yours.The dogs here were friendly and had fun romping and playing. They only ask that you clean up after your own dog. A donation box located at the exit as the park is run solely on donations. We stopped by twice while on vacation. My dog was happy and tired and slept in the car for the ride up to Portland.
