Give yourself a bit of time to take this place in. Lots of very interesting local history exhibited, both inside and out.

Artifacts and photographs from pre-Civil War to the recent past will take you back in time for a very interesting tour of the Old South.

This is a regional museum with a collection that is specific to the area. There are lots of tools and farm implements. I enjoyed seeing all of the antique shavers and planers. There are lots of quilts and dresses. One of the more interesting thins I found were the letters written about Elberta back in the day that are on display. It surprisingly has a lot to offer for a small museum.

This is definitely a must-see if you are in the area (PENSACOLA, FOLEY, GULF SHORES) because this museum has a lot of interesting exhibits, as well as out-buildings and equipment. The out-buildings include a general store, outhouse, old schoolhouse, church, still, potato shed, pole barn... and a lot of tractors and old farm equipment. And the surprise? It's FREE. Although donations welcomed to keep it running. We were really fascinated with some of the collection pieces and any questions we had were eagerly answered by the staff/volunteers.
