palisades park

This park is a gem in Alabama. The vistas are breathtaking along with the many rock formations. The log cabins and school house help preserve and tell the history of the area. If you go during the Christmas light display it is really special to see and to experience with your family.

Santa Claus is coming to Blount County! I look forward to seeing the spectacular Christmas lights at Palisades every year. This is a drive-thru event but you can stop and see Santa if you time your visit right!

The rocks and views are right there! Be careful. Small climbs for beginners, like new Scouts, and tougher ones for others.

What a beautiful place! Nice playground for the kids and pavilions for parties. Just be careful with the little ones near the cliff trails! I like to go watch the guys repelling off of the cliffs, but not me!

This park is beautiful and so very peaceful. There are breathtaking views and several walking trails. The azaleas were blooming and that made it all the more beautiful. We would highly recommend this as well as the covered bridges of Blount County.
