For:Tubing fun - when low number of people this is endless fun, go when it is not a school holiday or when not freshly snowed (it's slower). Price ok so long as you go when not busy. Was fantastic fun!Improvements:Cafe is overpriced, hill is mainly staffed by teens and kids.

Lifts run by teens who are not helpful to beginners. sometimes 2 or 3 kids huddled into the huts not helping loading or unloading watching kids struggle, fall slip etc. this hill is for beginners they need trained caring staff not a bunch of stoners

Nashoba Valley Ski area is a really nice spot for being local. It's not very big and the slopes are not long or big, but good for a day out for some fun. The terrain park was pretty awesome with lots to offer. Definitely enjoyed this part. It was not too busy for a Friday. Gave it a 3 rating for the slopes, but give it a 4 rating for the terrain park.

I am a beginner skier, so I skied on the Peace Pipe - listed as a beginner trail. It's basically a bunny hill, but good for my limited ability. I was enjoying my day, until instructors brought a good size group of students to the top of the hill to learn. That was fine, and they looked to be about 5 or 6 years old. Once the instructors had the kids ski down the hill, they all (students & instructors) stayed at the bottom, inside the fence, and talked and appeared to be just hanging out. Normally a skier coming down this hill can ski towards the left and exit the fenced area. However, with all the students standing in a line, there was little room at the bottom of the hill to stop or turn. I needed to take a quick right in order to avoid the class, and ended up catching my ski on the barrier fence. A general safety rule at ski areas is that when you get to the bottom of a hill, you exit the area. It's not a good place for large groups to congregate. It's an obstacle for beginner skiers who are coming down the hill, and I would expect that instructors would know this. I ended up with a sprained knee. When I called the Ski Director a few days later and left her a message, she did not call back. It's a safety issue that should be addressed. I don't plan on returning to this ski area.

If you are considering a place to introduce your kids to skiing, this is NOT the best place to do it. I tried February 2014 and it was a disaster. I just did Pats Peak yesterday, to overwhelming success (see that review too.) First off, I ski (but would not say I am a SKIER) and my husband does not. So in Nashoba last year I picked a day he was working, with temps in the 30’s, sunny, no humidity or wind, and had mostly the right clothing (I confess the lack of best socks contributed to my failure) and took my kids to Nashoba. The package included rental equipment and I had to get them into equipment, familiar with it, myself ready, then exit the building and bring them to the meeting spot for their lesson. Since I had not skied in 10 years, this was difficult and stressful for me, but I did it. The instructor had about 6 or 7 students. The first time I passed by about 30-45 minutes later, the kids had barely left the area in which I left them. I had to personally take my daughter in for a bathroom break because the lesson does not account for this and the instructor could not leave the other kids. I returned just before the lesson ended. At this point, the kids were maneuvering in an area about the size of a two-car garage. We went in for lunch, and I had hoped to take them out on my own after. But they clearly had not gotten far enough for me to do this, with my limited skiing ability, on my own, with two kids. When I realized my package included a lift ticket for the girls, and how they barely learned anything, except to move about 10 feet, I inquired with the management. They said it is hard for one teacher to teach a group and given my expectations I probably should have gotten a private lesson. It left me wondering, if that is the case, why include the lift ticket? Most importantly, my children had a miserable experience and never wanted to go skiing again. This broke my heart.

Awesome fireworks. Comparable to any small town on the Fourth of July but with snow on the ground. Much easier than going downtown Boston and dealing with parking and traffic. Would definitely go see this event again.

We went to Nashoba Valley Ski Area around 11:30pm on New Year's Eve specifically to watch the fireworks after we went to dinner with friends. The fireworks are spectacular as they are every year. First they have a torchlight parade coming down the mountain and then the fireworks. Definitely worth a visit.

Nashoba Valley is a small and somewhat busy ski area, a little crowded but manageable. Weather temps were a little high resulting in few lodges being open, which sent a high volume of people to the few open ski areas. Also went to the tubing park , all snow was man made once temps dropped below 35. In all, happy that snow was man made it kept the snow vacation from being a bust with no snow in the area due to high temps. Tubing park had eight lanes open and the trip up and down to the tubing area had very little delays.

I didn't dislike anything about this ski area because the place was amazing, and had alot of things to do; The ski instructors were very helpful, and the snow was very nice; If your looking for skiing and snowboarding, come down to here; it's the best! :)

My children started skiing when they were 4 yrs old. They progressed over thr yesrs to resorts like Sundsy tiver in ME. One daughter was a ski instructof shile in high school. She and her oldder sibling are since 5years ago, dking Europe, USA & Canada as experts. It all started at Nashoba.

Entry fee was $33 and that covered 1 entry to each of the 4 attractions. Honesty the entry fee should not be limited to only 1 trip per an attraction. If visiting you would probably not spend more than 2 hours here. I do not scare easily or at least I rationalize everything so this was not that scary. The cheapest thing was a woman crawling on the floor and I must give her props. If you are placed behind 3 screaming scared to death teenage girls it's actually more fun because you end up laughing very hard. Besides the 4 attractions there are the typical carnival/fair show stops, fried dough, 2 rides, darts, bottles etc, nothing huge. The company has an entire wooded area that they could of made more use of.

I don't ski, but love this place in the summer. Every August they have a Blues N Brews Fest. . You get 10 tickets with your admission of $35 which included 10 beer tastings. They have food and entertainment. A bunch of blues bands that are always great . I have only missed one year as we had a wedding to go to. But Carter Alan hosts it. He is a great radio personality and is on the radio every Sunday with a Sunday Morning blues show. I have listened to him since I was dating my husband.

Only really for beginners - its not much more than a hill - there is a restaurant and shop on site. Its main selling point is that this is the nearest ski place to Boston. But in my opinion driving another 30 mins along route 2 to Wachussett Mountain is worth the drive.

Great for teaching young ones how to ski or snow board. Kids as young as 4 years old can actyally begin to learn to ski. By the time kids are 9 or 10 they are able to ski most of the safer ski slopes in Sunday river Maine. This is a great place to begin learning. The instructors are really interested in their part time professions as instructors.

This is a very nice little ski area. It is a good beginner slope but if you are really good you would not enjoy that much.
