From June to October this garden is cared for by wonderful people who love doing what they do. Many of the workers are college students. You can take guided tours and learn very much and the also offer 'over the beach' rides in their open pick up truck for a small donation. I enjoyed visiting the gardens and then taking the beach ride.

We visited a couple of days ago, on a cold wintry day. Not surprisingly we had these small gardens to ourselves, and it was truly ethereal. An uneven skim of ice reflected shimmering light off the frozen pond. A slight breeze sometimes rifted the red berries on the barren bush branches edging the pond, creating a bright contrast to the lonely gray bench and empty stone pathways lining the shimmering pond, barely reflecting the berries within its shadowy ice borders. Bright sunlight streamed through leafless trees, layering meandering tree branch patterns across the entire pond garden. It was a brief moment of peaceful bliss in our otherwise hectic lives, and though we wanted to linger, our chilled fingers and toes engouraged us to do otherwise.See the review below for good directions.

If you are in Edgartown in the fall and you want to get away from it all, this is the place to go for sure. You will need to take the Edgartwon/ Chappaquiddick Island ferry. The gardens are located on Dike road. Stay on the paved road no matter what you GPS tells you to do until you get to Dike road. There is only one major paved road on Chappaquiddick Isand. The gardens are quite beautiful in the fall, but I expect in June when all of the Rhody's are blooming it is very stunning. It has been carefully planned and beautifully maintained. My friend who toured with me is a master gardener and she just loved visiting this garden too. We spent over an hour there admiring the care that went into this beautiful place. I don't know that it would appeal to everyone and probably only children if they are more mature. My grandchildren would like it, but they love planting gardens. It is a lovely walk, not strenuous and most anyone would be able to finish a tour of it in an hour or less and still have time to see it all and appreciate the beauty it offers.

Very surprising to find this place of serene quiet in Chappaquiddick. The garden has mature plantings intermixed with newer plants. Very much worth the visit for a few moments of appreciation for the cultured beauty in this garden.

A trip to Chappaquiddick should definitely take in My Toi Gardens on the Dyke Road. The gardens have beautiful Japanese style plantings.

We just happened to talked with a local person while sitting on a bench. He told us about the gardens which are very nice and away from a lot of the traffic noise. They also offer a trip on the sand for less than$180.00 take it

From the entrance through the birches, around the water features, over the little bridge, My Toi offers a real sense of peace and serenity. It must take a lot of hard work to maintain such simplicity. Its huge rhododendrons are a major attraction, but there are subtler plantings as well. Not sure, but I doubt if young children would appreciate My Toi.

Mytoi Garden is a great place to go for a walk on Chappaquiddik. It is very pretty to walk around. I would definitely go here if you are on Chappaquiddik.

I love Chappaquiddick, almost no one ventures over to this part of MV. It's always quiet and you can see all the nature you want at Mytoi. Pogue beach is right up the road and very few know it's out there. It' like your own private park and beach. It's always on my list when we stay in Edgartown.

They have done a wonderful job maintaining this little park in the middle of Chappaquiddick. It can be truly serene and they have some areas that one can sit and if wanted, to contemplate your surroundings.

Went in April last year, Easter, just starting to get ready, daughter went at New Years Eve just to show fiancé. Now it is open for business which is FREE!!!!, beautiful peaceful spot, sit , read, meditate, flowers, pond, goldfish, everything beautiful. If you want to visit Chappy's Lighthouse you can pay as member or not in Trust and get on a pickup. Guides of our tour before was great. Purchase a really nice t-shirt or hat, the long sleeve is nice and well worth the $. You can also purchase a plant, you might run into a celebrity. Lots of bikes on roads some are dirt, SUV's needed to go over the bridge, remember to bring food or drinks, the one sm. store was closed even in summer.

We took the Trustees of the Reservation Pogue Lighthouse Tour and this garden was part of the package. It is a lovely, tranquil spot to sit and relax. There are also some great turtles in the pond, which can be summoned by knocking on the bridge (so our guide told us). We got three giant ones to swim up to the bridge, looking for some special food that is provided by the staff (do not feed them anything else). Our family enjoyed the tranquility (and especially the turtles), but since we had just finished a 2 hour island tour we were in a hurry to get some lunch in Edgartown, so we skipped most of the grounds. Wish our timing had been better so we could have stayed a bit longer.

This is a small and quaint Japanese garden. Quiet, pond, bridges, turtles, and TICKS. There are bathrooms and picnic tables. It is also where tours to the lighthouse begins. A truck with seating that has an awning gets you over the sand with interesting facts on birds, environment and history.

Thought we'd take a bike ride from Edgartown over to see Dike Bridge & the beach. It was a pleasant surprise to find Mytoi gardens. Peaceful & free.

We enjoyed our visit but felt it really needed some work. It was very peaceful which was a lovely break. The roots on the trail are quite exposed and I almost tripped a couple of times.
