The Rockville Town Square has tons of eateries - there is something for everybody on every budget. The atmosphere is great. It is well lit and clean!
Walked though here for hours and hours. l love seeing all the variety of shops, and restaurants. The yearly selection of concerts is one of my favorite things.
Centrally located, walking friendly, and family focused. Downtown Rockville has great restaurants, bars, and a movie theater.
We visited Rockville Town Square earlier this month, although we have been there several times in the past year. This place is becoming a,destination: many terrific restaurants and one-of-a-kind shops and the excellent Dawson's Market. We highly recommend La Tasca for outstanding tapas and great lunch specials and the Cottage Monet (formerly of our hometown, Kensington) for unusual gifts. An added bonus is the flagship Rockville Library right on the square, a tribute to Montgomery County's emphasis on education and literacy.
Great selection of foods. Pleased to find many vegan items indeli and food bar, Friendly helpful staff. Free parking.
Great ethnic restaurants around a square that serves as a movie theater and sprinkle center on summer days and nights and transforms to an ice rink in the winter months. Wonderful library. Parking is free for the first two hours. A great place for families of all ages. The kids will love it.
We are from NYC and were in town for a hockey tournament. Took a group of kids here in the afternoon however not much to do other than restaurants and some small business retail. There was a small ice rink w a Xmas tree in the center, really cute and family friendly. The hockey players had no interest in skating w beginners on choppy ice. I would have loved to go back w a group of adults for happy hour and dinner. Plenty of places to choose from.Parking is free during holidays and the garage is conveniently located in the center of everything.
in this area there are numerous restaurants and coffee, pastry shops, to include a movie theater. During warm weather there is also community events to include live bands and crafts. All of this in walking distance and parking is getting better.
Careful with the requirement for feeding parking meters on the roads even on Saturdays. Use the public parking buildings and take the parking stub with you to be validated at most stores, including the beautiful library. The street parking is really hard to use. The online APP charges 0.35 just for the benefit of being used.
This area is developing very fast. We walked from the metro station to Bob's Shanghai 66 and we were impressed by the new construction and new businesses. There are many shops and restaurants around, chains and ethnics.
Town square continues to evolve. They have made it very kid friendly with summer season water spray and concerts to ice skating in the winter. And yes, kids can climb on rocks. The square features the library an range of restaurants from Italian, Lebanese, Thai, tapas and American. A toy store and ice cream is within reach.
One of the best new urban town centers in the DC area. Lined with restaurants (Buffalo Wing Wings, Lebanese Taverna, American Tap Room, to name a few) and the local library. This area is very popular with families on nights and weekends due to the stage/pavilion and outdoor splash fountain. In winter months, the central square is converted into an ice rink. Highly recommend for family friendly entertainment in Central Montgomery County.
The Town Square is the place to be in the central part of Rockville for a lot of activity in the city. Built around three square blocks near the center of town, its houses restaurants, shops, apartments and even a branch of the town library ( a great place to relax with a bank of computers, stack of newspapers and magazines, and a good selection of fiction and nonfiction -- all managed by a welcoming and knowledgeable staff). The Square has an interesting variety of restaurants that open out onto tables set on the two intersecting streets or a small mall. The shopping includes not one but two toy stores, an interesting draw for children and adults alike. Plenty of parting on the streets or in the garages with validation available at most stores.
Bar Louie the best place to eat here. Tap House mediocre at best. Five Guys at this location was pitiful. No fountain service (pop machine no operating) bottled water with a burger sucks. Dirty, friends of workers hanging out, ZERO management.
We went here searching for a place to eat. It appeared to be plenty of restaurants with outdoor seating for some. It is a very nice looking area. I think it would be a fun area to hang out with friends. Since we were passing through, we didn't take time to explore except to grab a bite.
