Dove mountain is a first class operation. The beauty and variety of golf holes is unsurpassed. The greens putted very true and had decent pace. The practice facilities are excellent and conveniently located near the clubhouse. Pace of play was wonderful. Over-all a great experience. It is worth the price!

Until this year it was the site of the WGC Match Play Championship. There are 3 nines and we requested the Saguaro and Tortolita courses because they were the ones played in the WGC.It is very scenic and challenging. The staff was gracious and accommodating. A must play if you are in Tucson for golf!

This place is awesome. The staff couldn't be better. Course was in great shape. Green speeds were perfect. Summer prices are extremely affordable if you can take the heat. Can't wait to return.

Played this course on a hot deal from Golf Now for $79 which is about half price. The site of the World Matchplay until it was moved this year. Set amongst the Saguaro cactus at the base of the mountains. Views are amazing. Golf course is beautiful with wide fairways but don't let that fool you. The greens will "kick you in the but". Fast and many elevated with lots of slope. Facilities are first rate and had lunch at the course restaurant which was good. This is the second time I have played it and enjoyed it even more as my golf game is a lot better now (15 handicap now versus 22 before).

not sure what designer Jack Nicklaus was thinking when he did this one . A Ritz Carlton resort course that even the pros said was too tough . Greens are very tricky and unfair . Big carries to get to greens and large deep. Bunkers make it a challenge . The course is in great shape . If you want a nice easy round don,t play here . Our first round here we played with a pro golfer who got beaten up .

Dove mountain is a beautiful course with tricky greens. The golf shop was friendly. There was a very attentive cart person who made frequent rounds. You can walk it but the distances between holes is long. One of the best in Arizona.

This course was magnificent. It was not very busy at all, which was nice for us as golfers, but I feel if it wasn't so expensive they might get more players. It was a great day of golf!

Stayed at Ritz-Carlton and played several of the courses in this vast community. Dove Mountain is clearly the best golf course with tremendous holes (9 on saguaro and 9 on Tort) are tremendous finishing holes. Our cart had 4 bottles of water in a cooler - very nice touch. Could have used some additional water spots throughout course though to fill-up. Staff was very friendly. Overall a great experience.

Played Dove Mountain yesterday, £100, although I accept to has just come out of overseeing the course was in poor condition, we played the championship 18. Tee boxes were awful, too many bad folders being let loose, lots of divits, greens had lots of sand on them. Over 5 hours for 18 holes!!!! Luckly we got our money back for the additional 9 we were meant to play, went shopping instead!

I played the Saguaro and the Tortolita today and what a fantastic back drop to an amazing golf course. The Tortolita was carts on paths due to over seeding.I made the trip down from Scottsdale (roughly 2hrs heading towards Tucson) and was amazed by the quality of the course. This is one course you should make the trip for and for the $99 I paid it's cheeper than most of the courses in Scottsdale .

Played dove Mountain (Wild Burro and Saquaro) for $13.00. Cart path only for the back nine but it was rather cool for mid September so it wasn't a real problem getting around.. Good greens and the course is in great shape. Next time was $40.00 and even that is a great bargain. Unfortunately, it was 100 degrees F and walking Wild Burro was pretty draining. I'd go back but after the temperatures are more in the high 80's or lower. We just missed the affect of Odile but managed to get lucky on every course we played in the Tucson area. My favourite was Catalina because it offered shade on almost all tee boxes. Still, any golf getaway is good any where you play.

Since our home courses were being over seeded, our group of 12 retired men decided to play Dove Mountain. Upon arrival we were greeted cordially and professionally by the staff and the pro shop. Unfortunately that was the best part of the day. We played the Saguaro and Wild Burro courses. The courses were absolutely fabulous and gorgeous. Unfortunately, there isn't any water available on either course and when the temperature topped out at 104 degrees that afternoon, we were quite uncomfortable. Although they have snack stop called the "The Turn" where we purchased items at the beginning of our front and back nines, there's nothing available on the courses themselves. And, although they provided 4 small water bottles on each cart, that simply was NOT enough water to get us through a four round of golf in the desert heat. And, although in theory they have a beverage cart(s) touring the courses, either they were under staffed on a Thursday or they simply didn't care because we only saw the beverage cart once on each nine. On the back nine the beverage cart showed up as we were finishing our 18th hole. Add to that the groundskeepers not paying attention to the golfers on the course it became a pretty frustrating day. On the front nine there were two staff loudly arguing about another employee and we had to politely ask them to be quiet. We understand the need for the groundskeepers to mow the grass, unfortunately they didn't show any of the players deference as we played through. One staff actually had to mow around two of our golf balls on the fairway rough. We honestly thought he was going to mow over the golf balls. On the back nine they were crisscrossing the fairway with their mowers and although I yelled "FORE", they never stopped their mowers a complete distraction. To add insult to injury on the back nine our electric golf cart was running out of charge and we called the pro shop to have them replace it. Unfortunately, no one answered the call, receiving the message: "We're busy with other customers, please leave a message". So we left a message telling them where we were and that we needed a cart replacement. Only to be disappointed again. No one ever showed up with a replacement cart. Our cart battery was so weak that we had to back up several times in order to continue to play. Upon arriving back at the pro shop the gentleman there said. "oh we didn't check voice messages". I'm not certain our group could've been treated more rudely all day. And honestly given the temperature in the afternoon they're very luck no one was struck with heat stroke. I cannot possibly understand their cavalier attitude toward not providing water on their golf course. It is simply inexcusable and constitutes a health hazard. Shame on the Ritz and Dove Mountain golf club. The final insult was when apparently one of the beverage cart staff promised a free beer for our inconvenience, the free beer was provided to someone else, talk about lack of attention!

Visited the Ritz Carlton just to see what it is like and to have lunch. It is in a remarkable setting of rocks and saguaro. Because it was a rare rainy day the poolside restaurant was closed and they recommended we take the shuttle to the Golf Resort. The restaurant specialty is burgers and it did not disappoint us. Both the portabella burger and the bison burger were excellent.
