I've been coming to this spot for years. When we first discovered it, it was just a parking lot with a boardwalk. One summer when we returned we saw that the city had done some landscaping, added a building with bathrooms and a vending machine, some covered picnic tables and a shower. In the summer this place fills up fast. But it's still my favorite place to go to the beach because of the convenient off-beach parking, shower, and scenic area. There are no cars allowed on the beach here which is the only way to enjoy it if you ask me. Many people have held weddings here as well.
