Well done and informative for those interested in local history. Worth the trip and one more thing to do while at Ponce Inlet.

This is the restored house where the visiting fishermen lived while they enjoyed their vacation here at Ponce Inlet. The fishing camp was converted to a house for a local family. If you are lucky you may see the last owner, Earl, sitting on a rocking chair on the front porch. The place is packed with information and there is a friendly knowledgeable guide to show you around and answer your questions.

Well worth the $5 admission price. The 203 step to top was little challenging but the view was breathtaking. Meet some real nice people from Iowa. Hi Russ.

I wouldn't have even known this museum was there but was passed it coming back from Down the Hatch. The docent was playing dulcimer music which we really enjoyed.

We had been wanting to stop by the Historical Museum for some time and were not disappointed. While the museum is small, it is a lovely way to spend 30 minutes or so learning about some interesting Ponce Inlet history. The home has been lovingly restored back to its original design and they are also currently working on restoring the neighboring white structure to showcase the original post office. The girl who was in charge at the museum was very engaging, friendly, and informative and provided us with a good introduction to the museum and Ponce Inlet's history. Also, on-site bathrooms were clean. If you're interested in off-the-beaten path historical sites, this is for you!

Quaint museum in a beautiful Florida setting. Surrounded by giant trees and tropical plants. The two Florida Cracker houses are pristinely restored. Nice exhibits and a super sweet, informative docent who even helped me find a park I was looking for on her computer. Thank you so much! Nice bathroom facilities, water fountain, and FREE! Worth checking out.

"Speed on the Beach" is the new exhibit at the Ponce Inlet Historical Museum. The exhibit includes a history of stockcar and motorcycle racing in the area, which is very apropos of Bike Week! There are also new hours at the museum: 12:30-4:30 weekdays and 10-4 on Sat. Stop by on your way to Down the Hatch and you will see, hear and feel what it was like to live in Old Florida.

A wonderful restoration of history and the young woman that oversees this is amazing. We stopped in and she shared her knowledge of the local history. She has only been here for a few months as she just moved here from Milwaukee, where she was the historian at the Pabst Mansion. This group of buildings is somewhat hard to find but ask at the Lighthouse Museum, which is another must see destination.

Beautifully restored buildings full of local history. Combine this with visits to the lighthouse and Marine Science Center for a truly wonderful day visit.

Small quaint historical museum in an old restored cracker style home and post office in the lovely beach town of Ponce Inlet. Terri gave us a very pleasant historical overview of the town & the family that lived in the home. Admission is free (voluntary donations are appreciated for the museum operation expenses), museum is open during the week & on Saturdays, handicap accessible ramps & restrooms available for museum visitors. Location is close to the Ponce Inlet Light House & two really nice restaurants Down the Hatch & Inlet Harbor. Definitely recommend checking out the little museum if you are in the area.

Ponce Inlet Historical Museum is a delightful introduction to late 19th century-early to mid 20th century life in Florida. The small restored buildings are charming and the tour provided by the guide was excellent.
