Great time on the water. We had a credit from last year because the boat had mechanical problems. They welcomed us unconditionally. Just going on the boat ride is worth the fee. They are friendly, funny, provide a first class time. Complete with trivia for drinks at local restaurants. Highly recommend this on a warm sunny day. Good time had by all.

Thoroughly enjoyed Jim & Brian as they toured us over to Flagler Ave,, New Smyrna Beach from Ponce Inlet, (right next door to the Hidden Treasure Restaurant at the lighthouse!) They are punctual at the pick up times, we loved their tales of the area and recommendations of the area! totally worth the price, we did this spontaneously mid day and will for sure go earlier in the day to enjoy all of the 5 neat stops. Thanks Brian and Jim!

It was a great Sunday afternoon ride. It was worth $15 because you can ride all day. We saw Dolphins quite a few times. Next time I'm going to ride up to new Smyrna beach in the morning and enjoy the beach all day. Then i will catch the last ride back. Brian and Bob were great!

Captain Bob and First mate Brian were an absolute blast! They had the entire boat of passengers hooting with laughter, but were knowledgable about all of the stops and sights along the way. Water taxi express was definitely one of the highlights of our trip!

I agree with the previous writer that this is a hidden gem. It is so easy and comfortable to go to New Smyrna from Ponce Inlet without having to drive out and around on the mainland. It has a few stops in Ponce Inlet and a few in New Smyrna. You can bring your cooler with beer and get off at any stop along the way, if you wanted. The view is wonderful and the ride is relaxing. The last time we took it we went to New Smyrna Beach's Wine Walk. The taxi drops you on Flagler Avenue where the wine walk is done, the last Saturday of every month. You can catch the latest Water Taxi back to Ponce Inlet and never have to worry about driving back.

On a recent visit to my parents in Daytona, they decided to take us on a trip on the water taxi as a treat for our kids, aged 9 and 12.At $15 for adults and $10 for kids, round trip fare, it's a cheap and lasts about 2 hours 15 mins if you stay aboard or you can get off at any of the restaurant bars that the taxi stops at along the way. The taxi returns every 2 hours 15 mins. You are greeted by Brian, the first mate, a friendly character who make you feel immediately welcome and relaxed. The vessel is steered by its captain, Bob, a dry witted 'ol sea dog. You can bring your beer on board too and you have time to grab a cold one or use the restroom at each of the stops. You might even see dolphins swim beside the boat on your trip. During our trip captain Bob asked our kids in turn to steer the boat giving them advice like, "See that boat? " "yeah." "Don't hit it." He had the whole boat laughing. Then on our way in dolphins surfaced behind the boat so he stopped the boat and turned it around so everyone could see the dolphins playing. The water taxi is a relaxing enjoyable couple of hours on the river made even more special by its crew, captain Bob and his mate Brian. After two weeks in Orlando theme parks and all the rides, shows, and excitement the kids still talk of the day on the water taxi as one of the highlights of their holiday. If your in the Daytona/New Smyrna area take time out on the river. The lads also run sea fishing trips and private hire. Make sure you check the times before you go.

After having lived on the Florida coast for 30 years, we figured we had done just about every neat thing possible......wow were we wrong! I had bought tickets for this ride thinking some day we would use them....it is the best value in Florida.....just get on the boat to take the 2 hour 30 minute ride...you will see beaches you can't see except from the water, beautiful private homes on the intercoastal, and if you are lucky dolphins jumping (we were lucky)....the boat is in tip top shape....comfortable and clean...we will definitely do this again and take our friends and family

With some extra time and not much else to do, my wife selected a ride aboard the Water Taxi Express as an event to while away a day. We boarded the Taxi at Inlet Harbor in Ponce Inlet. The boat is a flat-bottomed sightseeing-type vessel accommodating 34 paying customers. There are a total of 5 stops, including your boarding location. A full one-way trip takes approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes. We disembarked at The Grille at Flagler Avenue after about 1 hour and strolled the tourist streets of New Smyrna Beach. We returned to the same stop after a couple of hours of sightseeing for the return trip to Ponce Inlet. The ride was relatively comfortable, the captain and mate efficient, and stops were on time. $15/adult; $10/child.

My family and I used the water taxi last weekend to visit New Smyrna Beach wine festival and art walk. The boat picked us up at the Inlet Harbor Restaurant/Marina on the dot. We paid on board. We felt completely safe. The boat is US Coast Guard Inspected and there were life jackets within an arms length away. The first mate was funny, courteous and knowledgeable. The captain was cool and handled the boat well. The ride to the Grille at Riverview was about an hour but the crew and the view made the time fly by quickly. Both of my boys loved it. We did get a few sprinkles when the waves got a bit bumpy as we passed through the inlet, but that was welcomed. I'll definitely use the water taxi again in the future. PS, though it's not a sight seeing tour boat, the first mate pointed out a few dolphins and other natural and historical facts during the ride.

The water taxi is a great deal. We got on at New Smyrna and rode the loop. Many people get off at one of the stops and get picked up later. This is a great way to see the intercostal, and experience the area. The Captain and First Mate were friendly, easy going and made the trip pleasant.Definitely a deal and a great way to see the area.

We took visitors on the Water Taxi Express this weekend. We started in NSB where the taxi arrived promptly, the first mate and captain were friendly, cheerful and glad to lend a hand boarding. There are several stops, all with lots to do and plenty of time to tour, walk, shop or dine. We ended up at Ponce Lite, which we toured, then, after good reviews from the crew, lunched across the road at the dock at Hidden Treasure. Great lunch, the crew even came looking for us as the tides had brought them a few minutes early and we were just finishing up our lunch (thanks again). Along the way we saw dolphin, an assortment of birds, beautiful homes and boats, and got the sea spray in our face. A great experience for locals and visitors. Thanks again to Brian and Captain Bob-You guys made our day!!! Will highly recommend.

We started out in Ponce Inlet on the first trip of the day, rode to Flagler Ave., New Smyna Beach where we had lunch and did a little shopping, then returned on the 1:15. The boat was on time in both directions and everyone was VERY friendly, helpful and professional. It was a beautiful day and a very pleasant ride - even got to watch some dolphins. The only slight problem for us was getting on and off since we are not very spry. But we managed and it was well worth the effort!!! I highly recommend Water Taxi Express.
