This is the kind of place that kids love to go. The elementary school I worked at took 5th and 6th graders here on a regular basis. Lots of hands on activities and fascinating information about the past! Loved to watch the kids who needed to see and touch rather than read and write get just as involved as the avid readers and writers!

My husband and I visited on our honeymoon. We loved everything about this place. There were fabulous trails from display to display, which were enhanced by all the amazing scenery... Our favorite section was the one room school house. We were just in awe the whole time.

We loved the educational experience this place offered. The kids had a good time.

Visit the fire tower, see the doll collections, view the interactive exhibits showing how life was once lived here in the "Gateway to the Adirondacks".

Great place to spend a rainy afternoon! Three floors of diverse & interesting exhibits that will surely enrich your Adk experience! The attached fire tower that used to be on top of a Adk peak that can be climbed is a great bonus!
