the elizabethtown nature park

There is a great tribute to the Hardin County vets, with statues and plaques. A walking trail is also available that ties into the Greenspace trail system.

We held our family reunion here...great covered pavilion with restrooms! 104 acres to explore with walking trails, which ties into the Freeman Lake Park trail system. The park is open from daylight to dark.A tunnel, connecting the Nature Park and the north end of Freeman Lake Park, was constructed underneath Ring Road. Enjoy!

We walk these trails regularly. They are well maintained and great to experience. I love that there is a place to safely walk here!

I was looking for something to do with the kids and get them outdoors. We had a great time here. Plan to return soon.

I have visited the nature park many times and very much enjoy the walking paths and the Vetern's Memorial. It is a beautiful area and is kept in good shape landscape-wise and that bathrooms stay clean. I think the covered porch area is very nice for sitting. Wishing there were more activities held here.

We have been driving past this park for many years and always saw lots of people especially those feeding the ducks. This is really a nice area and the community is doing a good job on keeping the park clean and available for not only residents but tourists as well. You can see from the cut through road and just a short distance off UD 31. Well worth a visit.

Beautiful. The trail was clean and very well kept. I felt safe walking on the trail alone. I was amazing how beautiful it was. Keep up the good work

Went yesterday while the wife was working.The Veterans Memorial (see photos) is very well done. Very clean, plenty of things to look at and very detailed.Several people were using the main pavilion. One little girl wrote a note to her mom in washable chalk. Wish the pavilion had a coke machine, though.Walked the main path along the creek. Saw three ducks on a log and almost missed it. There are several small waterfalls in the creek. Was a bit disappointed in some trash which had accumulated, though.
